Surprising a man in Rongai claimed to be her father
Abdi Galgayo Guyo yesterday stepped into Standard offices, where he recorded an interview saying he's in fact the long lost father of Dillish Mathews.
Guyo who was on a UN peace keeping mission in Namibia between 1989 and 1990. They were there to monitor the peace process and the first elections.
From his account, Guyo met Dillish mother Selma during one of his patrols. They developed a friendship, and she would occasionally visit him at the army barracks, even spending some weekends there. It was in one of those that Dillish was probably conceived.
Guyo who is married now and a father of 5 children explained that after coming back to Kenya, he did not maintain contact and has never gone back to Namibia, for what he calls financial constraints.
