Yesterday all safaricom lines were blocked for about an hour. All the services were unoperational and for sometime I thought it is only in Mombasa.
If you tried to make a call you were met with a message that your line is not registered, and that you should visit your nearest Safaricom shop.
This affected even the registered subscribers.
The move was seen by many as a reaction to the government threatening to prosecute Bob Collymore and other telecoms CEOs, following increased usage of unregistered sim cards, even by terrorists at the Westgate attack.
