County government of Mombasa has launched a website to enable its residents get information and interact with the government online.
This comes after Nyandarua, Machakos, Narok, Nairobi, Kakamega and Murang’a counties which already developed their websites.
It is called www.mombasagovernment.com and has been running for the last one month although it was not fully completed.
“The site has not been fully developed. We are very keen on visibility and we want people to get the information they want at the touch of a single button,” said the Governor’s Press Service director Esther Ingolo.
Acting county secretary Hamisi Mwaguya yesterday[Thursday] said the website will quicken service delivery to the residents.
“But for more information you can talk to Ingolo,” said Mwaguya who was held up in a county cabinet meeting for the better part of yesterday.
Ingolo said the website gives an opportunity for residents to get information on projects, programmes, and the county government interventions that most people are not aware of.
