SPORTS:Harambee Stars Fail To Travel To Cape Verde For Return Leg Match

17/11/2015

Harambee Stars were to have a return leg match with Cape verde today Tuesday the 17th of November. However that is not going to be possible as we all thought
The team delayed at Wilson airport yesterday for more than 8 hours until the flight they were to use cancelled their trip to Cape Verde

Harambee Stars drama to Cape Verde started on Monday morning as players staged a go slow at Kasarani grounds demanding to be paid their accrued allowances before they board the chartered flight. However, after Football Kenya Federation(FKF) moved in to clear the same, more trouble awaited the team at Wilson Airport as owners of the chartered flight insisted that they cannot take off until they receive full payments.

The battle between the airline owners and FKF dragged the whole day and now that the trip was called off. Kenya beat Cape Verde 1-0 in the first leg clash and were looking for a draw of any kind in the return fixture to qualify for the Group stage of world qualifier.
