Three weeks after a saga emerged where Miss tourism Kilifi County was dethroned, the now apparently dethroned Miss Tourism Kilifi County Catherine Mage, has gone to court to defend her title.
She was seeking legal redress to the matter, confusion reigned as the organisers went ahead to pick a new winner sometime last week following Catherine’s crown stripping occasioned by wide public outcry that the model does not come from Kilifi. The beauty has insisted that she was raised in Kikambala, which is in Kilifi.
She cited psychological trauma, time wasted out of college and financial drain on her part — in the run for the Kilifi County event and after her crowning — as some of the reasons she was taking the event’s organisers to court. Meanwhile, the heat is still on in a number of other counties, which are now under pressure to repeat the auditions following alleged malpractices.
